A profound interest in science.
I want to understand the "why" behind medical conditions at the deepest levels. Medicine allows me to combine my love for science with my drive to help others using my skills to make a real difference in people's lives through patient care and clinical practice.
(Research Focus)
Metacognition & learning.
Working under Dr. Azevedo, I've been able to acquire deeper understanding of metacognition and self-regulated learning, exploring its applications in game based learning for complex concepts like parallel programming. As a pre-med student, this understanding of scientific methodology has strengthened my approach to evidence-based medicine and clinical research.
